SURPLUS GERMAN RUCKSACK

SURPLUS GERMAN RUCKSACK

Need a reliable camping or bug out bag?  I'd encourage you to look into these surplus German rucksacks.

I've owned one for about four years and it has never let me down through countless intensive camping trips and sporadic daily use.

I recently purchased another one at an antique shop in NY for $25, these are fairly common so I wouldn't pay over $35-$45.

You've got all the nice gear, protecting it with a decent surplus bag is a reassuring investment.

BUILD YOUR OWN CROSSBOW!

BUILD YOUR OWN CROSSBOW!

Thanks to Homestead Survival for these homemade crossbow plans!  Last year I purchased a handmade crossbow on ebay that was built similarly to these specifications.  It has served me well for the minimal target shooting I have done with it.  For bolts (crossbow arrows) I used broken arrows with 1/2 to 1/3 of the shaft cut off.  If you're an crafty archer, this is a great project to recycle arrows that are beyond repair.
